The
elements to be impregnated are introduced dry into the autoclave,
which has a guillotine type closure that can be activated only
with air.
Inside,
an almost absolute vacuum is created, so to open the porous
areas of the elements as much as possible.
Then,
the specific impregnating product is brought from the storage
tank and, once all of the metallic parts have been submerged,
an internal pressure of about 5 atmospheres is created.
After
several minutes of anti-porous treatment, the impregnating product
is drained off (recovering it totally), the autoclave is opened,
the metal is removed and subjected, finally, to a double washing
cycle, first with cold water and then with hot water
with tumbling and effervescence.
