The
Munari System impregnation procedure aims at resolving,
first of all, the problems of porosity created during casting.
The
technological process and market requirements have in fact induced
designers to realise increasingly complex forms and use increasingly
lightweight alloys.
All
of this has made it impossible to avoid porosity in castings
and has created a need to search for a procedure that allows
recovery of defective elements.
With
the anti-porosity treatment, recovery is possible. Castings
that are excessively porous can therefore be "saved",
as well as damaged elements and elements whose homogeneity,
seal and quality it is desired to improve before use (such as
electrical windings).
